Wednesday, February 14 th, is Ash Wednesday, with Masses at:
- 8:45 am
- 12:00 noon
- 6:00 pm
Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent, a season of reflection and repentance. It occurs 46 days before Easter Sunday.
“Remember that you are dust, and to dust you shall return.”
During Ash Wednesday services, we receive ashes, typically made by burning palm branches blessed on the previous year’s Palm Sunday, on our foreheads in the shape of a cross. The priest applies the ashes while saying, “Remember that you are dust, and to dust you shall return.”
